This Is Not a Government Office or Records Custodian. Swatara Township Residents Directory is a private reference. It cannot retrieve records, certify copies, determine who lives at an address, or alter an official roll. Direct those requests to the custodian. For an emergency, call 911. Anyone facing stalking or harassment should contact local police.

Where a Record Request Belongs

For Township-held records, begin with the documented municipal contact below. The Township's open-records procedure explains that a request must identify existing records with enough detail for staff to locate them. Questions are not Right-to-Know requests, and police requests use the separate police route.

Swatara Township Municipal Building
599 Eisenhower Boulevard
Harrisburg, PA 17111-2397
Telephone: (717) 564-2551
Public-record inspection and duplication: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday except holidays
Right-to-Know Officer: Julia Yuengling
Assistant Right-to-Know Officer: Zach Gulden

Township requests may be sent using the required form by email, fax, or mail. Pennsylvania's Right-to-Know Law, Act 3 of 2008, 65 P.S. §§ 67.101-67.3104, generally requires a written agency response within five business days under § 67.901. Section 67.902 permits an interim extension in defined circumstances. For a county deed, property, court, estate, marriage, or vital record, contact the named Dauphin County or Commonwealth custodian instead.

  • Address and ownership records: use the Street Directory for the Tax Assessment, parcel, and Recorder routes.
  • Older volumes and former households: use the Directory Book for library and Historical Society collections.
  • One named person or a court record: use Resident Lookup to distinguish public indexes from certified or restricted records.
  • Office responsibilities: see the Swatara Township records offices overview before directing a request.
  • Unavailable online records: submit a focused request to the office that has custody, using the Pennsylvania RTKL process where it applies.
